Indonesian man charged with murdering boss


MELAKA, 10 Jan -- Warga Indonesia Rudiansyah, 25, dihadapkan ke Mahkamah Majistret Ayer Keroh di sini hari ini atas tuduhan membunuh majikannya bulan lepas. Tertuduh mengangguk faham ketika pertuduhan dibaca oleh jurubahasa Indonesia, bagaimanapun tiada pengakuan direkodkan kerana kes itu berada di bawah bidang kuasa Mahkamah Tinggi. Dia didakwa dengan sengaja menyebabkan kematian Nordin Ong Abdullah, 71, di sebuah rumah kebun ladang kelapa sawit di Lorong Sidang Haji Hamid, Paya Rumput Jaya, Sungai Udang antara 22 Dis sekitar 10.30 pagi hingga 27 Dis lepas kira-kira pukul 1.20 pagi. --fotoBERNAMA (2024) HAK CIPTA TERPELIHARA

MELAKA: An Indonesian man was charged in the Ayer Keroh Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of his employer.

Rudiansyah, 25, nodded after the charge was read out to him by an Indonesian interpreter before Magistrate Khairunnisak Hassni, but no plea was recorded as the case is under the jurisdiction of the High Court, Bernama reported.

He was charged with voluntarily causing the death of Nordin Ong Abdullah, 71, in a house in an oil palm plantation between 10.30am last Dec 22 and 1.20am on Dec 27.

The charge provides the death sentence or imprisonment for not less than 30 years upon conviction.

The court set Feb 19 for mention for submission of the chemistry and autopsy report.
