PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was at the National Heart Institute (IJN) earlier on Friday (Jan 5) but was unable to visit PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, who was undergoing a procedure at the time.

"Abdul Hadi is receiving treatment at IJN. His condition is stable but he needs constant monitoring.

"We were informed of the Prime Minister's visit, but he was not able to meet Abdul Hadi as he was undergoing a medical procedure at the time," said PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

A photo of Anwar arriving at IJN had gone viral earlier on Friday but there were no photos of him and Abdul Hadi together.
