RM1.2mil worth of items stolen from house of 28-year-old businessman


IPOH: Police are trying to track down two men believed to be involved in a house break-in at Taman Mansion here.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan said the two men are believed to have carted away about RM1.2mil worth of belongings from the victim, who is a 28-year-old businessman.

"The victim had various belongings stolen, including a collection of luxurious watches, jewellery, mobile phones and two laptops.

“Among the watches swiped away by the suspects included several IWC Schaffhausen watches that are priced between RM80,000 and RM200,000 and a Rolex that is worth about RM230,000.

"We have launched a special operation to trace the suspects involved," he said in a statement on Saturday (Dec 23).

He added that a report was lodged on Dec 12.

ACP Yahaya said police were hoping to get more information about the two men and urged any members of the public with information to come forward.

"Those with information can contact investigating officer Asst Supt Norazlina Rais Ahmad at 013-628 2176 or the district control centre at 05-254 2222, which operates 24 hours," he said.
