KL cops seeking driver involved in fatal accident near Menara PGRM


KUALA LUMPUR: Cops are looking for the driver of a four-wheel drive vehicle to assist in an investigation of a fatal accident involving a motorcycle rider near Menara PGRM on Monday (Dec 19).

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the incident occurred at about 7.30pm on Monday.

"Initial investigation revealed that the accident involved a 46-year-old male rider with a 45-year-old woman, who was the pillion rider.

"They were heading to Pandan Indah when they were involved in the accident. The rider died at the scene while his wife is being treated at a nearby hospital," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 19).

"We urge the driver of the four-wheel drive vehicle to come forward and go to Kuala Lumpur JSPT headquarters at Jalan Tun H.S. Lee as soon as possible," he said.

ACP Sarifudin also urged those with information to contact investigating officer Insp Wan Mohd Salehuddin Fitri Wan Hassan at 019-3970048 or Jalan Tun H.S. Lee Traffic police station at 03-2071 9999 or KL JSPT hotline at 03-20260267/69 or any nearest police station.
