Penang govt hopes new Cabinet line-up will help state achieve its full potential

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government hopes the new Cabinet line-up will help the state reach its full potential, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

"We welcome the Cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in order to further strengthen the administration and work of the now one-year-old unity government," said Chow.

"With this, the state hopes that this new Cabinet line-up can help the Prime Minister succeed in the Malaysia Madani agenda, especially in improving the national economy and providing the best service to the people as a whole," he added.

Chow said that he hopes the new line-up of ministers can work together and help the state reach its potential as one of the most important economic powers in the region.

"Penang is generally always ready to cooperate with all ministers to solve the people's issues as well as development issues, especially in the state of Penang," said Chow in a statement issued today.
