PETALING JAYA: Over 15,000 officers are on standby for service amid the current northeast monsoon season, says the Fire and Rescue Department.

Its deputy director-general (operations) Datuk Nor Hisham Mohammad said 80% of the total workforce had their leave frozen throughout the northeast monsoon.
