PM: Ahmad Zahid getting better after surgery

PUTRAJAYA: The health condition of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is improving and he is expected to return to work soon, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“I want to convey Zahid’s greetings to all of you. Alhamdulillah, he is getting better.

“He wanted to come, but I told him not to attend because he needs some time to rest before resuming work and continuing the efforts and programmes of the ministry,” he said when launching the 2023 Karnival Usahawan Desa @Putrajaya at Anjung Floria, here yesterday.

According to Anwar, he had visited Ahmad Zahid earlier in the morning before going to the Karnival Usahawan Desa.

On Thursday (Nov 23), Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Rural and Regional Development Minister, uploaded a post on Facebook saying that he was resting after completing a surgical procedure on Nov 16.

Yesterday morning, Ahmad Zahid posted a photo of himself with Anwar, saying he was grateful to the Prime Minister for visiting him.

Ahmad Zahid also wrote that he could not wait to get back to work.
