Almost RM900mil worth of properties in Johor sold at JPEX 2023, says PKPJ CEO

JOHOR BARU: More than RM823mil worth of properties were sold during the Johor Property Expo 2023 (JPEX 2023) that was held in July this year, says Datin Paduka Dr Suhailizan Suliman.

The Johor Housing Development Corporation's (PKPJ) chief executive officer added that this shows a huge demand for property, especially affordable homes.

“We hope that we could make JPEX our annual or biennial programme so that we could collaborate with the developers and agencies in offering more products," she said.

Suhailizan added that property sales recorded included RM160mil Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) units and RM536mil for bumiputera and international units.

She said this when met by reporters after the launching ceremony of the Johor Malaysia Property Expo 2023 (Johor Mapex 2023) at the Johor Baru City Square shopping mall, here, on Saturday (Nov 18).

The programme was also attended by Real Estate Housing Developers Association (Rehda) Johor deputy chairman Lindy Tan and Rehda Johor assistant secretary Abdul Razak Mohd Yusof.

The property expo would be held from Nov 17 to 19 where 38 developers would showcase RM6.2bil worth of property at 90 booths.

Five banks would also participate to provide advice to prospective property buyers.
