Govt to celebrate first year in office with special event at Bukit Jalil, says PM's office

KUALA LUMPUR: As the Madani government turns one, a programme will be held from Dec 8 to 10 to celebrate the event.

In a statement by the Prime Minister's office on Wed (Nov 15) it said the objective of this programme was to spread and promote new policies and initiatives, increase public awareness and understanding of the direction and goals of the government.

"It is about building trust and confidence between the government and the people through reporting its achievement on a regular basis.

"This programme involves collaborations with various ministries, government agencies, government-linked companies, non-governmental organisations and other private parties.

"The programme will focus on three components - showcasing the Madani government's 'One Year Achievements', the touchpoints of services for the people (rakyat) and its well-being initiatives for the people.

"These three components are the government's efforts to ensure that the interests of the people are prioritised," the office said.

The three-day event next month is organised by the Prime Minister's office through the Performance Enhancement Coordination Unit (Pacu) and the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC).

The statement further shared that the attractions throughout the three days would include offering various services to the people, engagement sessions with various ministries and a Madani Mega Sale apart from other activities.

"The people will have the opportunity to see the government's achievements through an exhibition highlighting achievements of all ministries along with the government's long term plans," it said.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to be present at the closing ceremony of the event on Dec 10 along with other ministers.

The public is also invited to participate in the event from Dec 8 to 10, held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium from 9am to 10pm.
