It was just another Wednesday night in a village in Sabah’s Kota Belud district, with many preparing to sleep early as it was a working week.
Lights were off in most of the houses at around 9pm or earlier, but several kilometres away from that village, an elderly woman was fighting for her life in the Kota Belud hospital.
