Jepak by-election: PDP fully supports GPS candidate, says party president

BINTULU: The Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) is going all out in helping Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) win big in the Jepak by-election.

"We, at PDP, will go out in full force to ensure that GPS will not only win but win with a big majority," said its president, Datuk Seri Tiong Kiong Sing, at the PDP Tanjung Batu paintball tournament on Sunday (Oct 23).

According to Tiong, also Bintulu MP, party members would gather support for GPS and its candidate, Iskandar Turkee, 54.

"We believe the GPS leadership has picked the best candidate, and we will give our 100% support to him," Tiong added.

The by-election is a three-cornered fight. The other two candidates are Stevenson Joseph Sumbang of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and Chieng Lea Ping of People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi).
