Elderly man fends off car theft


SUBANG JAYA: An elderly man suffered facial injuries after fending off four men who tried to steal his Toyota Camry at USJ 12.Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the incident occurred at 9.33pm on Wednesday.

“We received information that an attempted robbery involving four men on two motorcycles occurred.

The suspects, armed with machetes, tried to steal a car from the 66-year-old man after he just reached home,” he said in a statement yesterday.

“We are now looking for the suspects,” he added, urging those with information to contact Insp Mohammad Faiz Naufal Zakaria at 019-485 8907.
