Special soles for special soul with oversized feet

AN Indian teenager who faced daily challenges due to oversized feet has received much-needed help to buy suitable footwear, Makkal Osai reported.

Gajendran Vikraman, 16, from Bagan Datuk who suffers from an unknown condition has long struggled to get shoes.

He has even gone to school without shoes because of this, his father Vikraman said.

The boy had undergone an operation to repair his toes with the help of donors but his large feet remained a problem.

Vikraman, who is partially paralysed, said he struggled to support the family’s basic needs and could not afford the special shoes for Gajendran that cost RM1,500 a pair.

Hutan Melintang assemblyman Wasanthee Sinnasamy, who visited the family home in Kampung Sungai Sumun, provided RM2,000 to help buy the special shoes for the teenager.
