We respect High Court decision, but still no to political activists as preachers, says MAIS

PETALING JAYA: Political activists will not be allowed to teach religion in the state, says Selangor Islamic Department (MAIS) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof.

He said in a statement on Saturday (Oct 7) that while MAIS recognises the High Court's decision on Thursday (Oct 5) to cancel the revocation of a political activist's permit to teach religion in the state it stands by its decision on the credentials of preacher Abdullah Khairi.
