ACTRESS Jasmin Hamid, 51, said some people think she is poor just because she drives an old Proton Wira car, Sinar Harian reported.

Jasmin said it was weird that people would judge her by her old car.

“Some would stare at me when ‘Bobob’ brings me around town.

“They wonder why an artiste is using an old car and if I’m struggling financially. Is it wrong to drive an old car? I’m fine with it, but why are you so caught up?” she said in an Instagram post last week.

“I love ‘Bobob’ because he has sentimental value. I hope everyone can keep their opinion to themselves and let ‘Bobob’ through,” she added.

> The parents of a Sarawakian student touched the hearts of many when they were seen accompanying their daughter to register at her new university after a long bus ride to Pahang, Sinar Harian also reported.

“You could see the family walking under the hot sun (in the two viral videos) and it was sad because everyone else was in their cars.

“They said they were from Sarawak and wanted to send their daughter off,” said the video account owner.

University officials who saw the viral videos brought a car to help the family bring in their luggage.
