A NURSE had to endure three hours of painful labour in her husband’s car before finally giving birth at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) in Kuala Terengganu on the same day as Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Maulidur Rasul), Sinar Harian reported.
Mimi Azuani Mohd Lazim, 36, said she did not expect to give birth to her third child on Maulidur Rasul, as the baby’s due date was on Oct 3.
She said she experienced contractions around 4pm and immediately decided to stop at HSNZ on her way back home from Johor Baru to Bachok, Kelantan.
“While passing the East Coast Expressway 2 near Kijal, I had a stomach ache and felt like going to the toilet.
“I asked my husband to find a toilet in the rest and service area. However, I was still in pain and suspected I was about to give birth.
“The pain was unbearable and my husband took me straight to HSNZ,” she told reporters at the hospital on Thursday.
Mimi Azuani said she arrived at the hospital at 6.50pm and was rushed to the delivery room where she gave birth to a baby girl weighing 3.4kg at 7.13pm.
Mohd Faizul Abdul Hadi, 38, said he was surprised by the situation and thought his wife would give birth at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
“My two children, aged 11 and eight, were delivered at HUSM,” he said.
> Social media influencer Khairul Aming says he is able to live debt-free by saving up his income and building a healthy financial safety net, Sinar Harian reported.
He added he invested his savings into his hot sauce business, which he started six years ago.
“I love investing in my business as it helps me make more money.
“I’m never stingy with my business and always respond to business requests from my staff.
“But whenever I try buying things for myself, I’m much more hesitant,” he said in a viral TikTok post on Tuesday.
