Customs seize RM1.74mil in contraband booze and cigarettes


SEREMBAN: The Customs Department has seized illicit cigarettes and beer in separate operations in Pahang and near here worth almost RM1.74mil inclusive of unpaid duties.

State Customs director Mohammad Hafiz Ishak said in the first raid on Sept 9, his officers seized 11,700 cartons containing 2.35mil cigarettes from a bonded lorry in Gebeng, Pahang.
