NINE buffaloes belonging to a family of farmers died mysteriously in Kampung Barisan, Sua Betong in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan, reported Sinar Harian.

Farmer G. Yoovan Kumar, 24, said he was initially informed that three of his buffaloes had died before a polystyrene box full of brown sugar suspected to be mixed with poison were found at a nearby oil palm plantation.

Yoovan, who owns 15 buffaloes, said 13 of the animals have since gone missing after the incident on Monday, adding that the buffaloes were later found dead or dying at different locations around the farm.

The deaths affected a special breed of male buffaloes weighing 900kg which were worth RM12,000 each.

“I suspect that the buffaloes drank from the same barrel of water that was poisoned,” he said.

He said he suffered hundreds of thousands of ringgit in losses.

He said a police report had been made and the state Veterinary Department was informed of the matter.

> Celebrity and TV host Sarimah Ibrahim revealed that she had been groped by a producer of a famous television show when she was younger, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The 45-year-old told the paper that the person had pretended to fix the microphone before the show started and then took the opportunity to grab her chest.

“I was sexually harassed while working on the set of a popular show. The producer at that time moved towards me with the excuse of fixing the microphone, but instead grabbed my chest.

“He complimented me, calling me beautiful and that we were compatible as a couple. The producer is a married man,” she added.

Sarimah also claimed that the producer also invited her to go on vacation together and threatened that she would lose her contract as a host if she rejected the invitation.

The popular television host also claimed that she was invited to a dinner and was told to wear revealing clothing in front of a director in a room.

Sarimah claimed she failed to land a job as a TV host after rejecting the invitation.
