A joyride from Melaka to Johor

MELAKA: A helicopter ride is among the highlights at the Melaka International Air Carnival 2023 in Batu Berendam.

State tourism, heritage, arts and culture committee chairman Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman said the short joyride to Batu Pahat in Johor will enable people to enjoy the stunning scenery from over 1,500m above ground.

“The fare for the 10-minute flight is RM270 per person.

“It will be operated on a fixed schedule during the eighth edition of the carnival,” he said yesterday after attending the coordination meeting of the event, to be held at Melaka International Airport from Sept 29 to Oct 1,” he said.

Abdul Razak said a total of 41 aircraft as well as simulators from the Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority will be on display.

He added that foreign airlines from Germany, Singapore, Russia, Australia and Taiwan will also participate in the carnival.

The event has drawn some 30,000 visitors in previous years, and is expected to attract 45,000 visitors this year. — Bernama
