TANGKAK: A 47-year-old man was killed after he was run over by a lorry trailer at KM12.5 Jalan Muar-Segamat.
Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Talib said that the incident occurred at 9.55pm on Friday (Sept 8) when the victim was travelling from Sungai Mati.
“Investigations revealed that the lorry was heading out from a petrol station intersection when the victim, who was riding a motorcycle, failed to evade and crashed into the right side of the trailer.
“The victim crashed into the lorry door and was pronounced dead at the location. He had also suffered injuries all over his body,” he said in a statement here on Saturday (Sept 9).
Supt Roslan added that the 47-year-old lorry driver was unharmed. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act of 1987.
