Four arrested over the killing of a man in Puchong

KUALA LUMPUR: A man was found murdered in a car in the wee hours on Wednesday (Sept 6).

The body of the 26-year-old victim was discovered in a Proton Gen2 at about 12.50am near a petrol station at Batu 14, Puchong.

City police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said initial investigations showed the victim was abducted by a group of men at Kampung Muhibbah People's Housing Project (PPR) on Sunday (Sept 3).

"Following the incident, the victim's father lodged a report at the Bukit Jalil police station at 5am on Monday (Sept 4).

"The father was alerted of the abduction by his son's girlfriend," he said when contacted on Thursday (Sept 7).

Acting on the information, he said police detained four men, aged between 27 and 35, around the Klang Valley.

"The victim's body was then discovered in Batu 14, Puchong," he added.

Comm Allaudeen said police believed the motive was revenge for stealing valuables belonging to the main suspect, who is still at large.

"We are still tracking down two more suspects, including the main suspect, who is a foreigner, in his 40s," he said.

All four suspects detained had prior criminal records including for drug related offences and they also tested positive for drugs.

The case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code for abduction while Selangor police will probe the case under Section 302 for murder.

A post-mortem at the Serdang Hospital showed the victim suffered a broken jaw and ribs, as well as a fractured skull.
