FIVE people allegedly endangered their lives and those of other road users by filming on a busy road in Meru, Klang, China Press reported.
In a low-res video that went viral on social media platforms, the men and women were seen mimicking rowing motions while dancing on a road divider.
The footage showed a busy traffic scene, with three of them seated on chairs placed on the road divider, imitating rowing with broomsticks, while the remaining two performed dance moves at the front and back.
The video looked like it was shot on a drone camera.
The group faced a barrage of criticism from online communities, which condemned their dangerous and disruptive behaviour.
Others also said the group would jeopardise both their own lives and others’ safety for the sake of fleeting fame, labelling their actions as thoughtless and foolish.
> Oriental Daily reported that a man on a train in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, repeatedly apologised to a woman he accidentally bumped into.
The footage of the incident surfaced on Weibo on Aug 18.
When his backpack accidentally bumped into the woman, she told him to be more mindful of the people behind him.
This triggered an unforeseen response from the man, who began a frantic bout of apologies, where he continuously recited “I’m sorry” as if chanting a mantra in front of her.
While she paid no attention and kept focused on her phone, the man persisted, and his apologies grew louder into shouts.
She then moved away and went to another subway car.
