Bee-stung geologist rescued after 72 hours in jungle


A group of Indonesian geologists with firemen who came to rescue their colleague who was stung by bees at the Sapulut Forest Reserve.

KOTA KINABALU: An Indonesian geologist who sent out a distress call three days ago after he was stung by bees in the Sapulut Forest Reserve, was found safe by firemen on Wednesday (Aug 2).

The 24-year-old victim was found about 3km from the Sapulut Sungai Ulu Pinangah Forest Reserve in Kinabatangan at about 10.30am Wednesday (Aug 2), a spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Services Department said.
