Focus on strengthening MCA, Dr Wee tells party leaders, grassroots


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has reminded party leaders and grassroots to focus on strengthening MCA and intensifying the support for the party.

The MCA president met the newly elected division leaders of Perak MCA over a cordial lunch in the silver state on Friday (June 30).

Led by deputy party president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, also the Perak MCA state liaison committee chairman, the new division leaders gathered to meet Dr Wee after completing the party elections at the division level on June 11.

During the luncheon, Dr Wee said he was pleased that the election was completed in a democratic and disciplined manner.

"I had the opportunity to meet with Perak MCA members in Ipoh this afternoon.

"Thank you Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, state and division leaders for making this meeting possible.

"I would like to congratulate Perak MCA for completing the party elections at the division level.

"Congratulations to all new division chairmen and those who have won in the elections," he said in a Facebook post on Friday (June 30).

In his speech, Dr Wee shared with party members the latest developments of several political issues and current affairs in the country.

"I’m glad our members are still in high spirits despite the political uncertainty we are currently facing," he said.
