KING of Mandopop Jay Chou’s (pic) music video Basketball Match is said to be cursed after several celebrities featured in it were engulfed in Taiwan’s recent #MeToo wave, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Three male stars in the 2000 music video, including TV hosts Jeffery Hsu and Blackie Chen, as well as comedian Nono, were recently accused of sexual assault by multiple women.

Fans of Chou were amazed at the prophetic nature of the music video and have begun to jokingly refer to the singer as a “prophet”.

“Brother’s predictions are more accurate than those in the Simpsons. (Stars are getting engulfed in the #MeToo scandal) one after another,” a fan wrote.

Others, however, thought the music video is cursed and that the remaining stars featured could soon face similar sexual assault allegations.

It was reported that since late May, dozens of women and a handful of men have come forward with their personal stories of sexual assault, many of which involved male celebrities.

> A flight’s departure in China was delayed due to a dispute between a woman and another passenger who refused to relinquish her seat, reported China Press.

The incident took place on June 20 during a flight from Qingdao to Shenyang when an older woman asked to exchange seats with a younger woman who had a window seat.

When the younger woman declined, the older woman proceeded to provide multiple reasons why she required the seat, such as her susceptibility to motion sickness, hypertension and heart disease.

She threatened the younger woman, saying that she would have to be responsible in the event she fell ill on the flight.“You are young and you must give me the seat,” the older woman said. When the younger woman refused again, the older woman began yelling and had to be restrained by several flight attendants.

“I don’t care. You have to give up the seat for me. I said I am sick,” the older woman yelled, repeatedly using an expletive as she pointed at the younger woman.Flight attendants were forced to pull the older woman away and seat her somewhere else. It was only when the two women calmed down that the flight was allowed to take off.

The whole debacle was recorded and uploaded on social media, where it went viral. Many Internet users were upset when they assumed the older woman’s seat had been upgraded to business class just to placate her.

A spokesperson from the airline later refuted the claims. “All of the seats on the plane were economy class seats. There was no business class cabin,” he said.
