363 exponents test silambam skills at annual contest


A TOTAL of 363 exponents between the ages of four and 20 took part in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor-level silambam competition in Taman Muhibbah Hall in Kuala Lumpur, Makkal Osai reported.

The sixth edition of the annual competition, organised by the Kelab Silambam Waja Diri and the Best Empire Silambam Academy, witnessed participation from 30 Tamil schools.

SJK (T) Jalan Bangsar won the competition for Kuala Lumpur with nine gold, three silver and four bronze medals.

Meanwhile, SJK (T) Kinrara was the overall champion for Selangor with six gold, four silver and seven bronze medals.

The newlyweds are reportedly planning to live together as a joint family.
