Eateries closed after roaches, rat droppings found


MELAKA: Two restaurants in the Portuguese settlement at Ujong Pasir here have been ordered to shut down due to cockroach infestations and rat droppings.

Melaka health, human resources and unity committee chairman Ngwe Hee Sem said the eateries were given closure notices by the Melaka Health Department, which instructed them to close down for 14 days for clean-up work.“The shutdown was ordered after rat droppings as well as cockroach infestations were found within their premises.
