New IGP Razarudin clocks in for work


KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Razarudin Husain officially clocked in for work as the Inspector-General of Police at Bukit Aman on Friday (June 23).

He entered the national police headquarters at around 8am and was given the "Guard Turn Out" by the Bukit Aman Camp Commandant.

Razarudin was welcomed by Police Force secretary Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin as well as personnel from the Inspector-General's Secretariat at the Menara 1 lobby.

He was then escorted to the 31st floor where he signed a document to begin his duties and recited a prayer at his office, which was led by Integrity and Standards Compliance psychology and counselling unit assistant director Asst Comm Mohd Zakarim Abdullah @ Zakaria.

Razarudin is the 14th Inspector-General of Police effective Thursday (June 23) following the retirement of Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
