Tunku Puan Mahkota of Kedah heads state honours list

ALOR SETAR: Tunku Puan Mahkota of Kedah Che Puan Nur Julie Ariff headed a list of recipients of state awards and medals in conjunction with the 81st birthday celebration of the Sultan of Kedah Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah.

Che Puan Nur Julie was conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Sultan Sallehuddin Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (SSSK) which carries the Datuk Seri Diraja title.

Sultan Sallehuddin consented to confer the awards and medals in an investiture ceremony held at Istana Anak Bukit here.

Also in attendance were the Sultanah of Kedah Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff, Raja Muda of Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin and Raja Puan Muda of Kedah Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff.

Sultan Sallehuddin also conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Diraja Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (SSDK) which carries the title of Datuk Seri to Kedah State Secretary Datuk Norizan Khazali and awarded the Orang Besar Lapan, which carries Datuk Seri Setia Diraja title, to Comptroller of the Kedah Royal Household Datuk Bakar Din.

Two recipients received the Darjah Gemilang Wira Mahkota Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DGWK) which carries the title Datuk Wira to Kedah finance officer Datuk Isahak Murat and Kedah Islamic Welfare Organisation chairman Datuk Mansor Ismail.

LSP Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Vijayasundram Jeyabalan received the Darjah Gemilang Wira Mahkota Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DGWK (Kehormat) which carries the Datuk Wira title.

Two recipients of the Darjah Datuk Setia Pahlawan Negeri Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DSPK) which carries the Datuk Pahlawan title were deputy RMAF chief Lt Jen Datuk Muhamad Norazlan Aris and 2nd Infantry Division commander Mej-Jen Datuk Muhammad Huzaimi Sabri.

Meanwhile, Local Government Development Ministry secretary-general Datuk M Noor Azman Taib and the Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah vice-chancellor professor Dr Asmadi Mohamed Naim were conferred the Darjah Datuk Setia Sultan Sallehuddin Kedah (DSSS) which carries the Datuk title.

A total of 11 recipients were awarded the Datuk Setia Diraja Kedah (DSDK) which carries the Datuk title, including Kedah Lands and Mines Department director Datuk Md Shuhaimie Abdul Rahman, Kedah Islamic Religious Affairs Department director Datuk Abd Ghani @ Zulkifli Zainuddin and Baling district officer Mohd Shahadan Abdullah.

Also receiving the DSDK were Kedah Health Department director Dr Othman Warijo, Finance Ministry deputy secretary-general (Policy) Datuk Zamzuri Abdul Aziz and former Padang Terap district officer Fathullah Suhaimi Ismail.Other DSDK recipients are the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital’s Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology’s Orthopaedic Services head Dr Vijaya Kumar Suppan; Penang Hospital’s Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery’s deputy head (Services) Dr Abu Yamin Khamis; the Kedah and Perlis Security Industry Association of Malaysia chairman Datuk Md Rosli Abd Wahab; Tiong Min Constructions Sdn Bhd chairman Koay Hun Tiong and the Weststar Group director Muhammad Arif Abu Bakar.

Two recipients received the Darjah Datuk Setia Pahlawan (DDSP) which carries the Datuk title. They are Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department deputy director 1 DCP Mohd Nasri Omar and Naval Area 3 commander First Admiral Ee (Yee) Tai Peng.

Meanwhile, two recipients received the Setia Sultan Sallehuddin (SSS), followed by the Setia DiRaja Kedah (SDK) (12 recipients), Ahli Mahkota Kedah (AMK) (35 recipients), Ahli Setia Pahlawan (ASP) (six recipients) and Bintang Kebaktian Masyarakat (BKM) (40 recipients).

The Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK), Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Kedah (PCK) and Pingat Perkhidmatan Lama (PPL) were awarded to 99 recipients. — Bernama
