BUTTERWORTH: Perikatan Nasional is “day-dreaming” about wresting all Malay-majority seats in Penang, says Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

“Good that they (Perikatan) can day-dream especially when having a deep sleep on a hot day like this,” he said in response to Perikatan’s aim to win at least 15 Malay-majority seats in the Penang state election.

He said anyone could dream but it would not necessarily become a reality.

Former Seberang Jaya assemblyman Dr Afif Bahardin was reported by an online portal saying he was confident that Perikatan could win all the Malay-majority seats in Penang.

The former PKR youth deputy chief also said that he believed the coalition would get votes from non-Malays who were dissatisfied with the unity government’s performance so far.
