KL top cop going to Bukit Aman


KUALA LUMPUR: City police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim has been promoted as Bukit Aman Management Department director.

He was replaced by his deputy DCP Datuk Yahaya Othman, who will be the acting police chief, effective yesterday.

Federal Logistics and Technology Department director Comm Datuk Seri Sahabudin Abd Manan, who witnessed the handing over of duties, congratulated Comm Azmi on his promotion.

“We thank Comm Azmi for his contributions and call upon all officers and personnel to give their full cooperation to DCP Yahaya.

“I am confident that DCP Yahaya can perform his duties and responsibilities well,” he said at the city police headquarters yesterday.

The post of management director was vacant following the retirement of Comm Datuk Seri Zaini Jass on March 9.
