Road bullies hauled up after video clip goes viral

SEREMBAN: Police are probing a road bully incident involving two motorists here after a 16-second clip went viral, says Asst Comm Nanda Ma’arof.

The Seremban police chief said an investigation revealed that the incident happened around 2pm on Dec 30 last year along the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.

“Our probe shows that a 32-year-old man driving a four-wheel drive pickup stopped his vehicle along the fast lane of the highway, blocking a 52-year-old driver of a luxury car heading in the same direction towards Port Dickson.

“The two got into an argument earlier when they stopped at the Mambau rest and service (R&R) area after some items fell off the pickup and almost hit the other car along the highway,” he said in a statement.

ACP Nanda said that after a brief argument, the two motorists decided to drive off, but the pickup driver then overtook the other car and blocked it near the Sua Betong traffic light junction.

“The man did so as he also wanted to take a photograph of the other driver, just as the latter had done when they argued at the R&R,” he said.

ACP Nanda added that both men would be called in for questioning.

The case is being investigated under Rule 92A of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
