Two men killed after car crashes into monsoon drain

IPOH: Two men were killed after the car they were in crashed into a monsoon drain in front of the Meru Raya Fire and Rescue Department here.

A Department spokesman said both men were declared dead by medical personnel following the incident that occurred at about 5.20am.

"Both victims were found trapped inside the badly damaged vehicle. The bodies have been retrieved and handed over to the police for the next course of action," he said.

He added that one of the victims has been identified as R. Dhaarnish, 29.

"The identity of the other victim could not be determined," he said.
