PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court has dismissed applications by a former MP and a Pandan voter to challenge the prime minister’s request to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to dissolve Parliament in October last year.
A three-judge panel chaired by Justice P. Nallini allowed the preliminary objection by the respondents and dismissed the applications for leave to appeal by both former Klang MP Charles Santiago and Pandan voter Dr Syed Iskandar Syed Jaafar Al Mahdzar in proceedings here on Thursday (Jan 5).
