Popular actress and model Nadia Brian (pic) has vented her frustration over the public’s seemingly toxic fixation only on her appearance instead of her career, Kosmo! reported.
The 31-year-old shared her dissatisfaction that the hard work she had put into building her career over the years as an actor is rarely given any attention compared to her seemingly sexy image which has often been highlighted publicly, instead.
“Acting is an extremely tough career path for me, some nights I even work until way past bedtime but there’s rarely anything about it on the news. Shameful,” she said in a post on her Instagram page.
The actress, whose real name is Nadia Najwa Mohamed Rashidi, is most-known for her lead role in the local hit drama Aku Yang Kau Gelar Isteri.> A retired Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) veteran in Kuantan, Pahang, continues to remain dedicated to the love of his life despite his wife being in a comatose state for almost two decades, Harian Metro reported.
Rosli Itam, 53, said that his dream of building a normal happy family was crushed after his wife, Rusmahwati Wazir Mohamed, 50, fell into a coma following the birth of the couple’s fourth child in May 2004.
“At the time of the incident, I was on duty in Butterworth, Penang, and on the night of May 24, 2004, I felt my heart ache when a neighbour informed me that my wife had lost consciousness.
“My wife was then sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA) Kuantan and I was informed by the doctor that she was in a critical condition and in a coma when I arrived.
“The doctor informed me that a condition called hypoxic encephalopathy or brain hypoxia had caused my wife’s brain to not receive enough oxygen supply which had resulted in brain damage causing her to fall into a coma,” he said.
“I made many sacrifices between dividing my time to take care of my wife and four children and my civil duties as a RMAF technician.
“But the support of my other family members, friends and RMAF co-workers at that time really strengthened my spirit and resolve.
“I wish to say thank you to all parties including the RMAF which helped my wife from 2004 until I retired in 2013.
“My love for my wife has remained undiminished 24 years into our marriage, even while she is still in a coma I constantly talk to her every day. I am sure she listens and understands.
“I will continue to take care of Rusmahwati till death do us part while also ensuring our younger children Alin Fadhlina, 19, and Aina Farahyu, 21, continue to receive the support they need to finish their studies,” he said.
