PETALING JAYA: Besides controlling the price of goods and services to tackle the rising cost of living, the government should cut back on monopoly licences and implement targeted subsidies for the B40 group, say business groups.
Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia president Tan Sri Low Kian Chuan said apart from continuing with cash payments for targeted households, there should also be a reduction in the personal income tax of low and middle-income earners.
