Technician shot outside his home in Klang


KLANG: A 46-year-old technician was shot in front of his house in Jalan Limau Kasturi, Taman Wangi on Wednesday (Dec 7) morning.

According to South Klang OCPD Cha Hoong Fong, police received a call from the man’s wife at 8.55am informing them of the incident.

He said when police rushed to the scene of the incident, they found that the man, a Malaysian, had been injured in his right arm and neck.

"The victim was brought to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah for treatment.

"An x-ray showed what is suspected a bullet, lodged in the man’s right arm," said ACP Cha.

According to ACP Cha, investigations disclosed that the shooter, also believed to be a local man, was on a dark coloured motorbike and wore a crash helmet with a visor.

"The suspect had fired three shots at the victim using two different guns.

"The forensic unit from the Selangor police contingent’s crime investigation department inspected the scene of the incident and found several items including two metal objects believed to be bullet casings," said ACP Cha.

ACP Cha added the South Klang police had opened an investigation paper under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
