Body found behind locked door in Sandakan


KOTA KINABALU: The Fire and Rescue Department discovered a body after responding to a call to assist in opening a locked door in a Sandakan housing area on Thursday (Dec 1).

The team initially received the report at 8.51pm informing the incident at Taman Grandview, Batu ½.

Fire and Rescue Department personnel went to the location and upon forcing open the door, found the 69-year-old victim in his room, said a spokesman.

“The victim was pronounced dead by a medical officer onsite and his body was handed over to the police for further action.

“The operation ended at 9.40pm,” added the spokesman.
