Continuous rain expected in some areas until Dec 5

PETALING JAYA: Continuous rain and high humidity is expected in Sabah, certain places in the east coast and northern regions of the peninsula due to strong eastern wind, says the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

The department added that the significant weather forecast would last until Dec 5.“Based on analysis of weather models, strong easterly winds are expected to be concentrated in Sabah as well as the east and north coasts of the peninsula.

“This situation will cause an increase in humidity and potentially produce continuous rain in the area during this period,” it said in a statement yesterday.

Earlier, the department had also issued an alert on continuous rain at 2pm yesterday that involved the east coast of the peninsula from Dec 1 until Dec 3; and in Sabah on Dec 1.
