Motorcyclist killed in accident with another motorcyclist


JOHOR BARU: A 22-year-old man was killed after sustaining severe head injuries in an accident at KM14 of Jalan Johor Baru-Ayer Hitam.

Johor Baru North deputy OCPD Supt Fariz Ammar Abdullah said that the accident happened when the victim's motorcycle scraped another motorcycle.

"Both motorcyclists fell to the left lane following the accident. The 22-year-old suffered serious head injuries following the incident.

"Meanwhile, another victim, who is 21-year-old, sustained light injuries and has been sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) for further treatment," he said.

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Supt Fariz also urged those with information about the accident to help provide information by reaching out to the Johor Baru North police headquarters at 07-5563122.
