State government remains stable, says Johor MB

JOHOR BARU: The state government here remains stable under the protection of Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, says Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

The Mentri Besar urged all parties to refrain from making statements that could threaten the stability of the state government.

"The state of Johor is still under a stable government with the protection of Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim.

"I once again urge parties not to come out with statements that could disrupt the administration of the state government," he said in a Facebook post here.

His post was accompanied by a news article of Johor Pakatan Harapan appealing to the state government to allow its representatives to join the District Development Action Committee.

Earlier, Johor Pakatan Harapan had appealed for the state's discretion to allow its elected representatives to sit on the committee.

State PKR vice-president Jimmy Puah was quoted as saying that this was to ease work coordination since the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan were now allies at the federal level.

"Johor Pakatan will write an official letter on this matter soon. I hope the state government, especially Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi will give due consideration to allow our assemblymen and lawmakers to sit as members in the District Development Action Committee," he said.
