Two teenagers killed in crash on Seremban-PD highway

PORT DICKSON: Two teenagers on an outing here died in an accident along the Seremban-Port Dickson highway on Sunday (Nov 20) night.

The 19-year-old motorcyclist and his pillion rider, a 14-year-old girl, were bound for Seremban in a convoy of some 50 motorcycles when the accident occurred at KM14.4 at around 9.30pm.

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said preliminary investigations indicated that the motorcyclist lost control and crashed into the back of a car driven by a 62-year-old man.

"Both victims fell off their machine, causing seven other motorcyclists to collide while trying to avoid them.

"The pillion rider was killed on the spot while the rider died while receiving treatment at Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar in Seremban," he said here on Monday (Nov 21).

Supt Aidi Sham said the male victim was a trader from Kajang while the girl, from Kuala Lumpur, was a student.

The case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
