Poster of Hadi as 10th PM fake, says Prime Minister's Department

PETALING JAYA: A poster showing PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang as the prime minister is false, says the Prime Minister’s Department.

The fake poster, which has gone viral since Sunday (Nov 20), is said to show a picture of Abdul Hadi next to a statement claiming that he had become Malaysia’s 10th prime minister with the PM's Department logo at the top of the poster.

The department urged all Malaysians to abstain from sharing false or misleading information on social media if they are not certain of its authenticity.

“If you're not sure, don’t share,” it stressed in various posts across multiple social media platforms on Monday (Nov 21).

It said citizens are encouraged to follow its official social media accounts or visit its website for the latest updates on who will be the next prime minister.
