GE15: Anwar, Ahmad Faizal almost crossed paths at polling centre

IPOH: Two strong contenders for the Tambun parliamentary seat arrived almost at the same time at a polling station, but avoided meeting one another.

Both PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Bersatu’s deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu were spotted at SK Manjoi 1 and SK Manjoi 2, located next to each other.

Ahmad Faizal arrived at about 10am at SK Manjoi 2, and shortly afterwards he came over to SK Manjoi 1.

Then Anwar arrived, and headed to SK Manjoi 2, while Ahmad Faizal was still at SK Manjoi 1.

As Ahmad Faizal was leaving, some reporters told him that Anwar was also around, and if they would be meeting.

“Anwar is not the only contender, I have two others as well,” he said, before getting into his car.

Ahmad Faizal is up against Anwar, Umno division chief Datuk Aminuddin Md Hanafiah and Abdul Rahim Tahir from Pejuang.
