PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin denies allegations that a secret agreement to cooperate had been made between Perikatan and Pakatan Harapan, one of its rivals in the 15th General Election.
In a Facebook post Friday (Nov 18) night, the Perikatan Nasional chairman stressed that pictures showing an alleged agreement between the two coalitions was fake news.
“The viral Perikatan-Harapan Agreement documents are fake news,” he said.
PKR deputy president Mohd Rafizi Ramli and Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also denied the existence of the agreement with both alleging that the agreement had been forged by Pakatan’s rivals in separate press interviews on Friday (Nov 18).
The alleged agreement had gone viral after it was uploaded to various social media platforms since Thursday (Nov 17)
Rumours of a possible cooperation between the major rival coalitions after GE15 had been widely speculated by many since the dissolution of Parliament on Oct 10.
As of Friday (Nov 18), there has been no official agreement or announcement of cooperation between the major coalitions in GE15.
