Brief LRT service disruption at Jelatek station caused by faulty speed detection device on train

PETALING JAYA: The short service disruption near the Jelatek LRT station on Tuesday morning (Nov 15) was caused by a faulty tachometer, a device used to measure train speed.

In a statement, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, operator of the Kelana Jaya LRT, said the build-up of passengers at the Jelatek station was due to the need to remove the affected train, which necessitated passengers being asked to disembark in order to board the next train.
