KUALA TERENGGANU: Mohamad Sabu, better known as Mat Sabu, calls those who are voting for former PAS central committee Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali "plastic", meaning fake.
The Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president said Mohd Khairuddin once called them "munafiq haraki" (hypocrites) for wanting to work with DAP and PKR.
"Khairuddin, who was then Syura council secretary, called us Munafiq Haraqi for wanting to be friends with PKR and others.
"Now, the same secretary who called us Munafiq Haraqi didn't get to become PAS candidate so he becomes Umno (Barisan Nasional) candidate.
"If the people here vote for this sort of individual, you are not human, you are 'plastic'," he said, greeted with laughter by about 100 people who attended his "ceramah" in front of Kuala Nerus Pakatan Harapan office, here.
Khairuddin who was the Kuala Nerus incumbent would be contesting the same seat under Barisan after he left the party in March.
