Mohamad Zabidin is acting Chief Judge of Malaya


PUTRAJAYA: Federal Court judge Datuk Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah (pic) has been appointed as the acting Chief Judge of Malaya, according to the Office of the Chief Registrar of Federal Court.

Its Corporate Communications Division director Suzarika Sahak confirmed Mohamad Zabidin's appointment when contacted by Bernama on Wednesday (Nov 9).

The post of Chief Judge of Malaya was left vacant following the retirement of Tan Sri Azahar Mohamed on Oct 27.

Zabidin, 65, was appointed as Federal Court judge on Feb 4 this year.

He was appointed as a Judicial Commissioner on Aug 1, 2004, and elevated as High Court judge on July 28, 2006.

Zabidin was appointed as a Court of Appeal judge on Nov 26, 2018. - Bernama
