GE15: Personal interaction with voters more important than relying on social media, says Pahang MB

BENTONG: Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail wants Barisan Nasional candidates to meet voters personally instead of interacting through social media.

"If a constituency has 30,000 voters, I want Barisan candidates to meet up 70% to 80% of the voters, as many as they can," he said.

"I didn’t say Facebook is not good, but face-to-face is better," he added.

During the meet-and-greet session Wan Rosdy also urged Felda settlers to vote for Barisan candidates.

Wan Rosdy also praised Barisan candidate Tan Sri Liow Tiong Lai, the former MCA president, saying that he was always concerned about voters even after losing the Bentong parliamentary seat in GE14.

"We lost the Bentong seat for one term and lost the Ketari seat for two terms. It’s time for us to win it back," he said.

"We lost the election not because we failed to serve the people, but because voters were deceived and listened to the lies of the Opposition," he said.

Also present was Liow and Ketari state seat candidate Amizar Abu Adam.

Liow is facing Pakatan Harapan’s Young Syefura Othman, Perikatan Nasional’s Datuk Roslan Hassan, and two Independent candidates, including the incumbent Wong Tack, in a five-cornered tussle.
