KUALA LUMPUR: Police have confirmed receiving a report about a group of participants in a used clothing or "bundle sale" at a Serdang shopping centre who claimed they were cheated by the organiser of the event.

Serdang district police chief Asst Comm AA Anbalagan said the report was lodged by a 41-year-old woman, the organiser of the "bundle sale”.

The woman said the tenants were not satisfied and demanded the return of their rental payments, he said.

He added that a preliminary investigation found that about 40 traders were involved and had also lodged a police report of their own.

"We have summoned both parties to have their statements recorded,” he said.

A video on the incident went viral on Friday (Oct 28). It featured several clothes dealers going berserk, claiming that they had been cheated by the organiser of the event. – Bernama
